Our team can share information about the artists we work with, including biographies, C.Vs and exhibition history. We also share stories about each individual artwork, what inspired it to be created, how it was made, and its unique materiality, including the best way to care for it. With our support, you can feel confident about selecting a sculpture that will enhance your space and enrich your surroundings.
2. Relocation
Relocating a sculpture involves careful planning to ensure a smooth transition to its new home, and that it is delivered in top condition. Our team at Brick Bay understands the specific needs of each piece and can advise on all aspects of relocation. From uplifting the artwork from site and packing for safe transportation, to preparing installation footings and advising on placement, we handle the logistics with the utmost care.
We work with trusted partners to manage the careful disassembly, packing, and transport of your sculpture, considering the environmental conditions at the new location and how they may affect the piece. Additionally, we assist with site preparation and reinstallation, ensuring the sculpture is positioned optimally to enhance its form. Wherever possible, we will also seek to have the artist involved with the installation, giving you the opportunity to connect artwork with its maker. Just as you would care for a luxury car, specific aftercare is essential to maintaining your sculpture's appearance and longevity. At Brick Bay, we offer guidance on cleaning, seasonal maintenance, and protection from environmental factors like sunlight, moisture, and temperature changes. Our team can advise on routine upkeep for various materials, from metal and wood to stone and ceramic, to ensure your sculpture’s condition is maintained.
For outdoor pieces, we recommend periodic inspections and minor adjustments to safeguard against natural wear. We also provide referrals to specialists for more extensive restorations, should they be needed.
